Every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds. Eye doctors call it the 20-20-20 rule. Mochi calls it a job.
Sits in your tray. Under 1 MB. Nothing phones home.

The cat sits in your system tray (and on your desktop, if you like) and quietly counts down. Hover it to see how long until the next break.
When time is up, a calm full-screen card appears on every monitor with a 20 second countdown. The cat demonstrates by gazing into the distance.
Press Enter or click Done. The cat approves. The timer restarts. Lock your screen, sleep your laptop or step away and it resets on its own.

Break overlays cover all your displays so you actually stop. Or pick a small centred window instead.
Idle for five minutes, locked, asleep or logged out? That counts as a break. The timer resets without nagging.
Work interval from 10 to 60 minutes, breaks from 20 to 60 seconds. Pause with a double-click when you're in a meeting.

It will not fix your prescription, but it does reduce digital eye strain: dryness, blur and headaches from staring at a fixed distance. Looking far away lets the focusing muscles relax and reminds you to blink. The American Academy of Ophthalmology recommends it.
Pause it with a double-click on the cat or from the tray menu. It stays paused until you resume.
